Not Quite a Tutorial, But At Least a Craft

Well, I didn't take step-by-step photos, so I can't call it a tutorial, but I DID "make" these towels (and by make, I mean embellish). I wrapped them around kitchen sundries (spoons, slotted spoons, whatever and whatnot), and was pretty proud of myself.


Though I bleed orange and blue, my friend that's getting married next month is doing a red and black kitchen. Who am I to say no to that? I prefer to think it's just the fab color combo rather than the team it brings to mind. :) Besides, red, black, and white has been one of my favorite color combos since they were Stephenie Green's signature colors in the Sleepover Friends books. Anyone remember? Yes?

If you'd like to do something similar, this is a good tutorial to get you started, or you can ask me for more detailed info.

    I remember those books. At first I was thinking Claudia from the Babysitter's Club, but then I realized I was wrong, because Claudia wore all sorts of crazy combinations.

    I LOVED both of those series. And several others besides. I even saved a bunch thinking one day a daughter or two might like them, but now I wonder how realistic that was...?
