Decluttering the Fridge

I LOVE to have pictures and cards and announcements and magnets all over my fridge. It makes me feel loved. But lately it's been getting a little out of hand. I'd been ruminating on this idea from the Pink and Polkadot Blog for over a month now (since the Christmas cards started coming in), and finally decided to put my idea into action. Unfortunately, my kitchen door doesn't really lend itself to just one wide ribbon (um... maybe because I never got around to making curtains?...), so I decided to solve the problem by using three shades of ribbon centered on each third of my kitchen window. So FINALLY my boring kitchen door, which looked like this when I bought the house:

(hurry! scroll down!)

Now looks like this:

MUCH friendlier.

  1. That is very cute! Good job. And I love the name! How very creative!

  2. What a smart idea! I like how it gives you the privacy of curtains at the same time!

  3. I like it too! I'm the same way, cards, etc. make me feel loved. Maybe I'll try it one day when I have my own house. :)

  4. Ok, brace yourself... love fest a.comin'! Love the clever blog name. Love your header. Loved reading all back posts. Love your bloglist, cause I frequent many of the same sites but loved finding even more off your list. Love the ribbon idea, brilliant! aaaaand will love adding WhimsiKel to MY bloglist now :)

  5. You guys are the best! Thanks for the love. I admit that I feel quite clever every time I think of the name. I've considered having it trademarked so that I can use it when I'm a famous designer. Seems unlikely, though. ;)
Dawn, loved the love! Glad you found some new blogs. I actually need to update that list - I've added some more to my reader lately, so check back in a few days. :)

  6. Dear Kelli,
